Account Manager - Industrial Automation Sales
The ideal candidate will direct the business development activities of the organization and drive the sales business. They play a key role in the company's growth trajectory and in the generation of new business. This individual will also be responsible for managing marketing and customer service activities.
Responsibilities
1. Drive new business relationships with targeted clients across various industries and applications.
2. Identify and develop relationships with future clients and manufacturers to gain warm introductions in new accounts and leverage existing networks to grow company sales quota.
3. Participate in business planning and visioning by utilizing your market knowledge & expertise to provide direction, advice and support Strategic Planning Meetings quarterly.
4. Manage strategy and operations for marketing and customer relations activities.
5. Manage sales functions of the business.
6. Provide feedback to company leadership on sales related topics.
7. Plan and coordinate the penetration of new markets.
Qualifications
1. Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas within the Industrial Automation industry, specifically with Food & Beverage, Automotive, General Manufacturing, Pulp & Paper and Water/Wastewater Treatment.
2. Engineering Degree or Diploma in Electrical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering is an asset.
3. Great sales acumen and understanding of common sales processes; formal sales training is a plus.
4. Strong leadership skills and ability to persuade others.
5. Demonstrated track record of increasing revenue through generation of leads.
6. Strong communication and negotiation skills.
7. Willingness to accept responsibility and accountability.
8. Ability to overcome challenges and handle complex situations.
9. High integrity and commitment to delivering value to customers.
10. High degree of self-confidence and self-awareness.
11. Established network of business contacts and clients.
12. Maintains a thorough application knowledge of relevant industries.
13. Outstanding written and verbal communications skills.
14. Ability to create and foster strong relationships.
15. Motivated and passionate about working with people and overcoming challenges through collaboration and a win-win paradigm.
16. Strong business acumen and ability to determine long-term value.
