As a Product System Development Engineer in MAHLE, you will be responsible for:
1. Project E/E Development according to timing plan and assigned budget.
2. Coordinating the engineering domains (Requirements Management, Hardware, Software, Mechanics, Functional Safety, Validation, and Industrialization) to accomplish prototypes and the project milestones.
3. Ensuring MAHLE PDP deliverables.
4. Design to Cost, Design for Manufacturing, and Design for Quality.

7. Coordination of development tasks with other technical domains of the company: System Requirements Engineering, HW, SW, Mechanics, Quality, Functional Safety, Validation and Industrialization.
8. Technical development of the project according to budget and planning.
9. Close coordination with the Project Manager.
10. Risk and cost analysis together with the Project Manager and the Product Manager.
11. Responsible for Design to Cost, Design for Manufacturing and Design for Quality.
12. Responsible to plan and monitor (tracking) the different development cycles of the project following MAHLE PDP.
13. Responsible to plan and align the prototypes maturity level following project milestones and MAHLE PDP.
14. Responsible to approve the eBOM (Engineering Bill of Materials) for each development cycle.
15. Release Notes owner.
16. Organization of technical reviews of the project involving other domains and especially the quality department.
17. Design FMEA reviewer together with the quality department.
18. Definition of critical or safety characteristics of the product.
19. Management and resolution of problems at a technical level.
20. Willingness to travel and provide technical support on-site.
21. Keeping the Project Manager and Product System Development Team Leader informed about the progress of the project.
The Product System Development Engineer is not the direct responsible for the system or functional block diagrams, electronic schematics, 2D drawings, 3D models, design justifications, simulations, tolerance analysis, and validation plans. However, he/she is consulted by the different technical domains to review these documents.
What skills do you need?
1. (Critical) Degree in Electronics / Telecommunication Engineering, Automation, Computer Science, Physics or similar.

11. (Required) Technical background using laboratory instrumentation and test setups: CANoe, INCA, oscilloscopes, waveform generators, power supplies, electronics loads, spectrum analyser, …
12. (Required) Cross-functional communication
13. (Desirable) Electronics problem resolution
14. (Desirable) Coordination of cross-functional technical teams (from 5-10 people)
15. (Desirable) Knowledge of electronics manufacturing processes
