Eviden is searching for a R&D Engineer to join our dynamic Cybersecurity R&D Team and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of information and data security technologies.
As a Cybersecurity Engineer, you will contribute to the design, development, and implementation of cutting-edge cybersecurity solutions across diverse vertical scenarios and technologies.
Areas of work in this position include incident detection and response, behavioral analytics, cybersecurity risk assessment, critical infrastructure protection, security information sharing and analysis, IoT/OT security, cloud security, and research in the application of technologies such as artificial intelligence to address cybersecurity challenges.
As part of the Cybersecurity R&D Team, you will be involved in the design, definition of system architectures, software development, prototype testing, and piloting of cybersecurity solutions.
In your daily work, you will apply your basic knowledge of information systems (networks, computer architectures, software engineering, virtualized environments), and your experience in security concepts and technologies, combined with your experience in (at least one of) technologies such as OT Security, SIEMs, threat analysis, information sharing (STIX, TAXII, others), OSINT, experience with CSIRT/CERTs, AI and deep learning for security information processing, among others.
Basic required skills:
1. In-depth knowledge and expertise in cybersecurity concepts and technologies.
2. Practical experience in defining information systems requirements, software design and development, testing, and deployment of systems.
3. Proficient in software engineering processes with strong general programming skills.
4. Experience with Python, Java and/or Go, as well as web development languages such as NodeJS and/or Angular.
5. Understanding of software development phases and proficiency in supporting tools like GitHub, Maven, JUnit, Subversion, etc.
6. Experience in working with virtualized environments and containers (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
7. Familiarity with cyber threat intelligence concepts and frameworks.
8. Knowledge and experience working with one or more cybersecurity data models (e.g., ThreatConnect data model, STIX, MISP).
9. Fluent spoken and written English.
10. Self-starter, proactive, and autonomous character.
11. Ability to take part in technical discussions/negotiation among multiple actors.
Other valuable skills:
1. Experience/knowledge in distributed systems, internet communication protocols.
2. Past involvement in research or innovation activities (FP7, H2020, HE or others).
Location:
Must be legally authorized to work in Spain and base in Spain mandatory.
