The Position
Part of the Software Asset Management Team, you will be accountable for supporting tasks required to produce and maintain compliance with Software Vendors and their license use rights and improve organizations’ ability to optimize software risk and spend.
You will assist with and gradually take on more in-depth software asset analysis by decoding software license entitlements, determining the automation of software consumption data, establishing Software Vendors effective license position (ELP), governing software assets, optimizing software value delivery and sharing information with other tools and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Liaise with IIx and Non-IIx stakeholders to promote and maintain SAM awareness with the Product Manager and Product Line Lead Communities.
2. Work with Product Managers and Product Line Leads to identify software optimization opportunities.
3. Governance within Roche, ensuring that the correct levels of awareness are maintained within our user community and our owners of the SW assets.
4. The role will develop over time and the applicant can develop this into a more technical role or a more financial role.
Knowledge / Competencies:
1. Significant experience working with virtual teams in a cross-functional organization.
2. Demonstrates customer, quality, cost, and delivery focus.
3. Advanced analytics, gap analysis, problem-solving.
4. Software Asset Management requires project management skills, good written communication, and the ability to simplify complex terms and concepts.
5. Good understanding of IT environments, desktops, virtualization, servers, cloud, and SaaS - not at a technical level but with some awareness of the technology.
The applicant is expected to:
1. Develop knowledge of software licensing and auditing techniques.
2. Increase knowledge on Software Asset Management tools and processes.
3. Increase knowledge and experience in contract and software asset management.
Optional Skills:
* SQL Server scripting would be a nice to have.
