Country Sales Manager - Design Home Accessories
For a renowned and historic company operating in the field of design home accessories, we are looking for a Country Sales Director.
The candidate will lead and execute the strategy of expansion and growth in the Italian market, maximizing profitability and brand positioning in line with the vision and global objectives of the Company.
As Country Sales Manager, he/she will be responsible to identify and develop new business opportunities, open new customers and distribution channels, and execute strategic projects, especially in the contract and lighting sector.
In addition to its strategic role, he/she will also have an operational role as responsible for the management and development of accounts in Northern and Central Italy. This includes visiting customers in the area, strengthening existing business relationships and opening new business opportunities. So he/she will not only define the strategy, but also actively participate in the execution and direct market growth in this region.
He/she will be responsible for local employees and agents' management, as well as all business activities and market outcomes (sales and contribution).
Reporting to the EMEA Sales Director, the main responsibilities will include:
Strategic Business Development:
* Define, in collaboration with the Management, the Business Plan for Italy, proposing sales objectives focused on maximizing profitability and sustainable growth of the Italian market in accordance with the overall strategy of the Company.
* Identify, evaluate and capitalize on new business opportunities with emphasis on opening new customers, distribution channels and in the various product categories and strategic sectors (especially contract and lighting).
* Develop strategic relationships with key partners and customers, through the development of 360 strategic business plans (commercial and marketing) and establishing alliances that ensure sustained growth and improve visibility, Brand presence and market share.
Commercial and Contractual Management:
* Propose, manage, coordinate and supervise the commercial and promotional activities in the territory, working with the different teams of the company (Marketing, Sales, Product, etc.) as well as agents, Key Accounts, etc.
* Design and implement innovative strategies and action plans to improve the sell-out of retailers, including incentive programs, training and point-of-sale support. In addition, monitoring and measurement of results should be carried out.
* Through analysis of business and financial KPIs, using advanced data analytics tools to identify trends and propose improvement opportunities to optimize profitability and efficiency in the region.
* Submit regular detailed reports to the Management, including market analysis, sales performance, and future sales and product projections.
* Manage and develop accounts in Northern and Central Italy, visiting customers in the area, strengthening existing business relationships and opening new business opportunities.
Market and Brand Management:
* Continuously analyze market trends and competition, keeping the company's teams informed about the opportunities and threats of the environment, and collaborating in defining strategies adapted to the Italian market.
Interdepartmental Leadership and Collaboration:
* Lead and manage the local and agent team through setting quantitative and qualitative goals, ensuring compliance with them and providing feedback and tools necessary for the performance of their work and the achievement of objectives and results.
* Foster collaboration with other departments of the Company to ensure smooth communication and alignment in achieving global goals.

Requisiti:
Educational background: University degree
Professional experience: Minimum of 5 years' experience in a responsible position in sales or business development, preferably as Country Manager, in related sectors (gift, furniture-decoration, luxury, interior design, contract or architecture).
Computer skills: Advanced Office Pack Domain (Excel Advanced). Knowledge of data analysis tools (Power BI desirable). Desirable experience with SAP and Salesforce (user level).
Languages: Advanced level of English.
Key competences: Strong focus on results and achievement of business objectives. Business development orientation and strategic vision. Proven experience in successfully opening new customers and distribution channels. Excellent analytical skills and use of data for market analysis and strategic and tactical decision making, as well as corporate reporting. Ability to negotiate and sell. Leadership & Teamwork.
Other requirements: Availability to travel. Residence in northern Italy.
