The Position
As a Senior Technical Specialist in the Google Workspace administrator area, you will be working in the Digital Workplace Chapter which is part of the Roche Informatics Organization.
You will be providing operational support to affiliates across all divisions and locations in Roche, ensuring excellence and providing solutions to the different consumers.
The role also requires collaboration with Business Partners and Stakeholders, locally and globally, to understand their needs, optimize the operations and drive efficient solutions effectively.
Responsibilities
* Provide effective solutions to problems the end users are facing in the technologies falling in the Digital Workplace area, as a 3rd level escalation team.
* Find improvement in service support for previously identified and assessed delivered services.
* Collaborate with stakeholders: Work effectively with clients, internal teams, and vendors to ensure the success in different projects.
* Partner with other IT departments to ensure seamless integration of collaboration platforms with existing systems.
* Provide technical consultancy to consumers and stakeholders whenever there are mergers & company acquisitions that involve data migration between platforms.
* Understand client needs and objectives: Analyze business challenges and translate them into technical solutions.
* Document solutions and processes: Create clear and concise documentation to guide future use and maintenance.
Tasks include
* Testing new implementations in Pre-Production Environments.
* Applying continuous improvement to internal processes.
* Conduct research and analysis to identify opportunities to improve in the collaboration technology space within the organization.
* Business Critical incidents and requests and escalation management.
* Collaborate regularly with Product Owners, Product Managers, Service Owners and IT Security.

Experience and Technical Skills
* Advanced Google Workspace Administration Skills (Google Core, Mail, Calendar, Drive, Chat, Spaces, Meet, Editors). Having the official Google certification will be a plus.
* Understanding of the standard email protocols, authentication methods and networking basics (SMTP, IMAP, SPF, DKIM, DMARC, TCP/IP, DNS, etc).
* Strong hands-on technical skills, operational background, and working experience with infrastructure technologies and business applications.
Additional technical knowledge that could be a plus:
* Microsoft (Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online, Teams, Exchange).
* Experience in Email Transport through Secure Email Gateways (Fortimail, ProofPoint, Fast path or any other MTA).
* Experience in designing and providing solutions aligned with standards, security, validation, capacity and high availability to fulfill complex business needs while identifying associated risks.
* Knowledge in ServiceNow or another ITSM solution.
* Experience in Scripting against API with languages like: Python, JavaScript, or PowerShell.
