Underwriting Division
AIG's underwriters develop insurance solutions that address the exposures of companies and individuals, and embody AIG's tradition of innovation, bringing to market groundbreaking insurance solutions. AIG's underwriters help to find insurance solutions for risks from a range of areas, including: aviation, environmental, catastrophic events, high net worth individuals, and boardroom liabilities. Responsible for handling new business and reviewing and renewing existing books of business, underwriters are fundamental in generating revenue for AIG. Underwriters are tasked with determining the risk of an insured, whether an individual or company, and appropriately calculating the premium for the requested coverage.

Whether you're a recent university graduate or someone with less than two years of work experience, the program is designed to evolve with the rapid pace of technological advancements and changing employee preferences to ensure that today's participants become leaders capable of conquering tomorrow's challenges.
With the objective of developing exceptional students into exceptional professionals, the Early Career Program offers 2 years of comprehensive and accelerated underwriting training designed to build the technical knowledge and skills you will need for a rewarding and challenging career at AIG. As a Full-time Underwriting Analyst, you will experience a combination of self-study, classroom, and on-the-job assignments that will quickly develop your professional knowledge. Training sessions will be part of the program.
You will learn firsthand how to analyze risk exposures, evaluate insurance and risk management requests, develop client proposals and interact with professionals at all levels of the organization. The technical knowledge and work relationships gained in the Early Career Program truly allow participants to hit the ground running in their underwriting career.
