The Group Chief Data Officer’s mission is articulated around four pillars:
1. Setting, in close cooperation with Business Lines and Functions CDOs, the Group data vision in alignment with the Businesses’ strategies and objectives.
2. Operationalizing this vision in close cooperation with the Group CIO and making data actionable to drive analytics and digital transformation.
3. Capitalizing on the steering and animation of the Business Lines and Functions CDOs community to strengthen the data culture within the Group.
4. Enforcing data governance policy including adherence to BCBS 239 and personal data privacy and protection regulations.
Positioned within the CDO’s office, the DSO plays, alongside the various Business Analytics Teams of the Group a key role in:
1. Federating the Group strategy with regards to Data Science.
2. Contributing to operationalize our setup by favouring mutualisation, centralising transversal services and collating pain-points.
3. Promoting our Data Culture and enhancing our visibility both outside the Bank and internally to the various Analytics Teams.
The Business Analyst will report to the Head of Data Science Office.
Key Responsibilities
1. Contribute to the management of the portfolio of projects initiated by the Data Science Office or where it takes part.
2. Ensure maintenance of this portfolio of projects for communication/training/on-boarding/community animation to other relevant parties.
3. Build clear and concise material supporting the key projects, including working documents and meeting minutes.
4. Administer the lifecycle of those projects, including designing roadmaps, tracking deliveries, identifying delays, and problems.
5. Ensure coordination of those projects with the other Group Data Office and ITG streams.
6. Keep a log of, monitor and quantify achievements of the Data Science Office in line with its mission statement. To that end, suggest KPI or alternate metrics.
7. Suggest potential projects supporting the development of the Data Science Office in its mission to enhance the coordination of the Data Science across the Group.
8. Contribute to the technical efficiency of information sharing by suggesting state of the art technologies (mailing list, intranet, document sharing, subscription management).
Qualifications
1. Demonstrated expertise in Project Management.
2. Demonstrated leadership skills in a technical environment with a background in large scale data management.
3. Knowledgeable in Big Data technologies and AI techniques.
4. Expert in strategic data planning, standards, procedures, and governance.
5. Proficient communication skills to both senior management and technical teams.
6. Good understanding of banking and investment banking products, services and processes.
7. Fluent in Data visualization tools / Data preparation tools.
Profile
1. Graduate level education in computer science, engineering, physics or a related degree from a top engineering school or university.
2. 5 years of related experience.
3. Languages: English proficiency required. French is highly recommended.
4. Ability to travel as needed.
