Sales Executive - Edge Computing Orchestration
About Us: Nearby Computing is a deep tech startup that has developed its own advanced Edge-to-Cloud orchestration SW platform. As we continue to scale and acquire new Tier1 accounts in many industry verticals, we are looking for an exceptional Head of Sales to lead and grow our sales function and help us achieve our ambitious goals, and prepare the company for a medium-term boost in its commercial activity.
Role Overview: As a Sales Executive, you will be responsible for the full sales cycle, from lead generation to closing deals, within a defined territory and vertical. You will identify and qualify potential clients, understand their business challenges, and demonstrate the value proposition of our edge computing orchestration platform, together with the technical sales experts and following the Head of Sales plan. You will be a key player in building our customer base and establishing Nearby Computing as a leader in the edge computing space. You can work from Nearby Computing’s offices in Barcelona, or fully remote.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Prospecting and Lead Generation: Identify and qualify potential customers through various channels, including online research, networking events, industry conferences, and outbound outreach.
2. Needs Analysis: Conduct thorough needs assessments to understand customer requirements and pain points related to edge computing deployments.
3. Solution Presentation: Develop and deliver compelling presentations and demonstrations of our orchestration platform, highlighting its key features and benefits.
4. Lead Qualifying: Assess the potential of every lead and propose to upgrade it to the Qualified Leads pipeline.
5. Proposal Development: Create and deliver accurate and competitive proposals, including pricing and contract terms.
6. Negotiation and Closing: Negotiate contracts and close deals, ensuring favorable terms for the company.
7. Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers within customer organizations.
8. Sales Pipeline Management: Maintain an accurate and up-to-date sales pipeline in our CRM system.
9. Market Intelligence: Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs in the edge computing market.
10. Collaboration: Work closely with Head of Sales, technical sales, marketing, and engineering teams to provide feedback and contribute to product development and marketing strategies.
11. Achieving Sales Targets: Consistently meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales targets.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
2. Proven track record of success in B2B sales, preferably in the IT or technology sector.
3. Experience selling complex technical solutions is a strong advantage.
4. Understanding of edge computing, cloud computing, and related technologies is highly desirable.
5. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
6. Strong negotiation and closing skills.
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
8. Highly motivated, results-oriented, and with a strong work ethic.
9. Experience with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) is a plus.
10. Fluent in English (written and spoken). Additional languages are a plus.
