Position summary:
TransPerfect is looking for a proactive, motivated, and performance-driven professional, capable of working inside a team and also individually. As an Associate Vendor Manager within our Interpretation Vendor Management team, your mission will be to expand the company’s network of collaborators by building strong relationships with our industry community. In order to achieve this goal, you will source and find qualified candidates for different types of freelance linguistic tasks worldwide. You will take care of testing, recruitment, rate negotiations, and database updates.
Position responsibilities:
* Screening external candidates and contacting potential resources (interpreters, translators, reviewers, proofreaders, brand captains, etc.)
* Assist with various tasks within the full cycle of recruitment of linguists from posting job offers to sourcing, interviewing, testing, offers, negotiations and placements
* Support the on-boarding process (setting up the linguist in our system, compilation of documents, assistance with contracts, instructions for the new linguist), ensuring that all on-boarding tasks are handled on time
* Keeping an updated database with all the relevant information on linguists
* Building strong relationships with all vendors
* Provide general administrative / Vendor Management-related support
* Supporting and working closely with Production to facilitate their daily work
* Making sure all fronts and resources are maximized for recruitment
* Keeping track of all your candidates and their skills for any possible leverage
* Perform any other special tasks that are deemed appropriate for this role as assigned by the manager/supervisor
Essential skills and experience required:
* Minimum Bachelor´s degree or its equivalent
* High level of oral and written fluency in English
* Excellent communication skills and confidence when talking to candidates and project managers globally through various means (face-to-face, email, phone, etc.)
* Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities
* Organized, performance-driven, innovative, flexible, proactive and with good attention to detail
* “Own-it” spirit
* Ability to work to deadlines
* Team player with the ability to work well with people from a variety of different backgrounds and cultures, build relationships with co-workers, candidates and commit to a high level of service
* Working knowledge of MS Office
* At least 6 months´ experience in a global company providing recruitment support to various locations internationally
Desired skills and experience:
* Experience with Social Media for recruitment purposes
* Degree in Translation, Interpretation, Linguistic studies, or Human Resources
* Experience in the translation industry
* Experience as a Vendor Manager
