As part of Minor Hotels, the region of Minor Europe and the Americas is responsible for more than 350 properties in 30 countries and plans to grow across all segments, with a focus on its upper-upscale and luxury brands.
JOB SUMMARY
This position will participate in both Asset Management and Development projects.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
The candidate will:
1. Support and assist the Asset Management & Development team in their day-to-day projects, specialized in certain geographic areas.
2. Projects will be related to i) lease negotiations ii) assets divestments iii) co-investment negotiations iv) development opportunities v) corporate transactions.
3. Gather and analyze all relevant information (market research, business plans and financial analysis) in order to prepare negotiation strategies or new development projects.
4. Be in continuous contact with other departments such as Legal, Finance, Tax, Building and Operations in order to align the common understanding.
5. Prepare presentations for the Top Management of the Company.
6. Be involved in the negotiation of contracts with several stakeholders.
7. Coordinate and push for the completion of the departments’ yearly objectives and achieve the Action Plan.
EXPERIENCE
Between 1 to 2 years’ experience in an international hotel chain, international hotel consultancy firm, hotel investment firm or one of the Big Four accounting / consultancy firms would be an advantage.
QUALIFICATIONS
Degree in Hotel Management / Law / Economics / Business Administration.
Knowledge in finance and a good understanding of P&L.
Master’s degree in finance / law would be an advantage.
High level of English (oral and written). Spanish would be desirable.
Proficiency level of knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
The function hierarchically reports directly to the VP Portfolio Management and the VP Development Europe and Americas based in the HQ offices, Madrid, Spain.
Travel could be required.
The position will be based in Madrid HQ offices at C / Santa Engracia 120.
At the moment, hybrid working model (3 days at office – 2 days at home).
