Lead .NET Engineer

Our client is one of the biggest hedge funds in the world managing investments for a wide array of institutional clients including foreign governments, central banks, corporate and public pension funds, university endowments, and charitable foundations. We have a group of around 100 engineers (Devs, QAs, BAs, and Project Managers) distributed between Westport, USA and Malaga, Spain working on one big solution.
Responsibilities
1. Identify and understand business problems
2. Design solutions to address those problems
3. Write efficient and clean code to implement solutions
4. Perform thorough testing of all implementations
5. Ship developed features and solutions to production
6. Provide on-call support (24/7) on rotation every 4 weeks, compensated additionally
Requirements
1. 5+ years of experience in .NET development
2. 2-3 years of working experience in WPF and WCF
3. 1+ years of relevant leadership experience
4. Competency in contemporary programming languages, patterns, and architectures
5. Background in utilizing design patterns in development
6. Proficiency in Full Stack .NET/C# development from front-end to back-end processes
7. Expertise in SQL, specifically T-SQL for robust database management
8. Good understanding of communication protocols, standards, and technologies (SOAP, REST, WCF)
9. Familiarity with data exchange formats like XML and JSON
10. Experience with Agile methodologies and SCRUM practices
11. Good English communication skills (reading, writing, and speaking)
Nice to have
1. Knowledge of capital markets, structure of exchanges, regulatory framework, Order Management, Execution Management Systems, Trade workflow
2. Experience in the development of Trade Order systems (Order, Trade Execution, Reconciliation)
3. Experience with Charles River, Tradeweb, and other similar vendor systems
4. Familiarity with various asset types such as Fixed income, derivatives, swaps, and FX
5. Skills in FIX, FIXML, and Tibco products
