The resort is located near La Santa village on the north-western coast of Lanzarote in the Canary Islands. It is an English-speaking resort with the majority of guests from Denmark, United Kingdom and Germany.
At Club La Santa, we can host approximately 1600 guests at maximum capacity who can enjoy more than 80 different sports on state-of-the-art facilities and 500 weekly activities and instructed lessons all included in the stay! We are also a beloved destination for many national sports teams and professional athletes.
Work and responsibilities
Working within the Kids & Teens team at Club La Santa you will be responsible for hosting a wide range of daily activities for kids and their families within the three main areas PlayTime, FunTime and YoungTime.
The age groups are from 3-15 years old and from different countries. Working in the kids & teens department you will always be collaborating with 1-4 other colleagues to give our guests an unforgettable experience.
You will refer directly to the In-Charge of Kids & Teens (in Lanzarote). Furthermore, you will be a part of the Green Team consisting of around 60 sports instructors and with more than 450 colleagues across 3 countries, you will be part of a big hotel operation.
Working within the Green Team you might be required to work in other areas, like Sports Booking, morning runs, events, evening entertainment, etc.
You will work approximately 7 hours a day in a flexible schedule that is dynamic and changing so your working days will be varied in tasks and hours.
Qualifications
* Education within pedagogy, teaching, sports or similar qualification within working with kids as long as you are ready to bring your enthusiasm, experience and energy into the position.
* Preferably a minimum of 3 years of experience working with kids aged 0-15 years (and their families).
* Alternatively, you have experience as a sports instructor for children, where you have developed your skills and competencies for working with children, which you can include in Kids and Teens.
* Fluent in English. Secondary Spanish and/or Danish.

* Great communication skills. You can present to large audiences, both children and adults and you are clear and great as a host when speaking to our guests.
* Knowledge and experience with children. You have knowledge about children and how to interact with them from education or 3 years of experience working with children.
* Inner creative child. You like to play and have fun, and you see each child where he/she is. Due to your experience, you know how to create a playful and safe atmosphere where you can welcome all children in our multicultural every day.
* Curious and open-minded. You are curious, self-reflective and open-minded which means that you are honest and have an interest in learning, developing, and sharing knowledge both with the guests and with your colleagues.
* Teamwork. You are true to our agreements within the team, and you can meet deadlines and collaborate with a team.
* Responsible. You are responsible with tasks and self-motivated in both high and low seasons. You are true to our agreements within the team, and you have an interest in keeping our areas organized and tidy.

What do we offer
* Permanent full time contract with 40 hrs. working week and 2 days off.
* The salary is 1,392.79 € bruto per month, 12 times a year.
* You will also receive three extra payments during the year: December, June and Holiday pay. These amounts will be calculated proportionally to the number of months the employee has been employed.
* One free lunch will be provided on all working days.
* Holiday: 30 days a year + 18 extra days of holiday as compensation for work on public holidays including holiday pay.
* Subsidised shared accommodation at 191.76 € per month (the apartment is shared with another employee and consists of a living room with a small kitchen, bathroom and one bedroom).

Important information when applying
* We can only employ people with a passport from the EU community or with a Spanish residencia and work permit.
* The position will require relocation to Lanzarote if you are not already living here.
* Only applications in English will be taken into consideration.
* In the application, a video will be required of you. We would like you to upload a 3-5 min video with a short presentation of you and where you are showing us how you are being around children while you are teaching, instructing, and playing.
* The minimum period of employment for this job is 9 months, starting with 45 days probationary period.
* A clean criminal report and child protection certificate will be required from new staff upon arrival.
