JOB DESCRIPTION
Client: Grupo Sigma (Campofrío, Aoste, Navidul, Oscar Mayer)
Our client is an international group operating in the consumer goods sector, a leader in food products manufacturing and distribution with brands such as Campofrío, Aoste, Navidul, and Oscar Mayer.
The candidate will be a corporate counsel responsible for providing legal advice to the group business in France, Belgium, The Netherlands, and Luxembourg, based in either Madrid or Lyon. The counsel will be part of the group’s global legal department, reporting directly to the global General Counsel in Madrid.
Responsibilities:
1. Advising on legal aspects of manufacturing and supply contracts.
2. Managing legal risks of commercial contracts related to sales and distribution.
3. Advising on manufacturing, quality requirements, procurement, transport, and logistics.
4. Involvement in publicity and marketing legal aspects.
5. Drafting and negotiating IT-related contracts and R&D agreements.
6. Working on IP law and brand protection.
7. Providing regulatory advice concerning the food industry.
8. Participating in international legal projects.
9. Advising on Real Estate and Environmental issues.
10. Managing litigation and coordinating external counsels.
11. Maintaining contact with business managers and legal representatives.
12. Contributing to strategy design and managing large projects.
13. Coordinating local external counsels.
Profile:
The candidate shall be a qualified lawyer in France with approximately 8-10 years of experience, preferably from a top national or international law firm. Experience as in-house counsel at an international company is desirable. Familiarity with Environmental law and the EU ESG regulatory package is valued.
The candidate should be versatile, pragmatic, and possess excellent communication skills. An LLM or similar degree in business law will be highly valued.
