IdiPAZ Health Research Institute is the result of a partnership between La Paz University Hospital, Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, the Healthcare Public Service of the Madrid Autonomous Region and the Foundation for Biomedical Research of La Paz UH, which is the managing body of the Institute. This strategic alliance has made it possible to tackle research projects through joint multidisciplinary teams, making the most of the human and material resources available to these entities for research and promoting research fundraising. Our vision is to be a national and international reference for biomedical translational research of excellence, focused on people's health.
IdiPAZ is looking for a nursing graduate with at least a B2 level of English to join the European R&I project "SHIELD" as responsible for the development of the project in our center from the preliminary design phases to the development of a clinical study concerning management of cardiovascular disease (CVD) patients.
SHIELD ( ) is a Horizon Europe project. It is steered in our centre by Dr. Lubna Dani Ben Abdellah, Specialist in Family Medicine in the Home Hospitalization Unit of the La Paz University Hospital, integrated into the LIMA research group of IdiPAZ. SHIELD will develop risk individualization metrics to guide prevention strategies and personalized care plans, and reduce the risk and progression of NCDs. Leverage multimodal data collection, artificial intelligence (AI), and collaboration across all healthcare system stakeholders to identify personalized prevention strategies for three pilot studies concerning CVD and diabetes.

Skills/Qualifications:
* Be in possession of a Bachelor's degree in Nursing. In the case of providing a foreign academic title, you must have the corresponding credential of homologation to the equivalent title in Spain, issued by the competent body for the recognition of foreign educational titles and qualifications in the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports.
* Minimum experience of 3 years in health, research or similar centers (2 years for people with disabilities greater than 66% and 2 and a half years for people with disabilities greater than 33%).
Valuable requirements:
* Knowledge of nursing techniques
* Knowledge of social anthropology
* Previous experience in hospital and/or research environments.
* Knowledge of office automation at a user level (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and databases.
* English level B2 or higher accredited by official qualification.
Others:
* Availability to travel to consortium meetings (every 6 months)
* Manuscript writing and presentation at conferences.
Specific Requirements
The duties involved in the position consist of:
* The fundamental tasks are the design of the study procedures, patient recruitment, and patient follow-up during the trial.
* Support in the management and logistics tasks of the SHIELD project from its conception to the clinical trial phase.
* Recruitment of patients during the SHIELD clinical trial phase with delivery of material and patient training on the wearables delivered for the clinical trial.
* Appointment management, telephone follow-ups, medication management and medical supplies.
* Accompaniment of the study volunteers and explanation, in clear and simple language, of the technical characteristics of the study.
* Compliance with clinical protocols, Good Clinical Practice standards and current legislation regarding clinical trials, observational studies and other biomedical research projects.
* Intervention during follow-up in case of adverse situations with volunteers.
* Any other activity within your scope of responsibility that is required, such as, for example, management of data collection notebooks, analysis of evidence.
It could be possible to enroll in a PhD programme through the duration of the activities.

Additional Information
* Gross annual salary: 23,566.95 €
* Full-time of 37.5 hours per week.
* Private matters: 6 working days per year.
* Vacation: 22 working days per year.
* December 24 and 31 are non-business days.
Eligibility criteria
The selection process will consist of two phases and the following scale will be applied, out of a maximum of 10 points:
* Training and curricular merits: 6 points.
* Personal interview: 4 points
In the event that two or more candidates match the values and needs of the institution and meet the conditions required for the post, and where there is a tie, the candidate with a certificate attesting to a minimum degree of disability equal to or greater than 33 per cent shall prevail.
Selection process
Once candidates send their application to the IdiPAZ email address, their applications are stored until the deadline for receipt of applications for the offer is up. The HR department of IdiPAZ will make a first selection of applications selecting those who meet the criteria required in the offer. The selection committee, composed of the head of human resources at IdiPAZ, the President of the IdiPAZ Internal Scientific Committee and the Project Officer, will then evaluate the selected application applying the scales described in each call for applications. Once the candidate is selected, the HR department of IdiPAZ will contact he/she to provide the required documentation.
