Senior Commercial Asset Manager - Full-time

The Asset Management department is responsible for managing a portfolio of European solar PV assets on behalf of Statkraft and external investors. The department manages all commercial aspects, starting from financial close, ensuring that projects are implemented effectively during the construction phase and achieve optimal returns, both commercially and technically, during their operation, whilst maintaining the highest standards in operational safety and efficiency.
The Senior Commercial Asset Manager will lead the ES AM country team and be the main point of contact for internal SK departments and external clients. They will manage the members of the ES Asset Management team and be responsible for performing the services which are outlined in the relevant project agreements such as the Asset Management Agreement(s).
Key activities and Responsibilities :
* Lead management of H&S responsibilities in OAM function in ES
* Lead OAM function both Commercial and Technical for ES
* Lead on delivery of OAM team deliverables for ES business
* Lead as main point of contact for ES Asset Owner / Country Manager
* Support ES Business strategy, reflecting the OAM function effectively
* Support OAM European Business Strategy
* Coordinate with Statkraft OAM and maintain common OAM approach across all Statkraft markets
Providing the services defined in Statkraft Asset Management Agreements to 3rd party client and internal Asset Owners as follows :
* Project Financial Management Services
* Operational services
* Health and Safety Compliance
* Plant Production Support
* Commercial Support
* Reporting
Qualifications :
* Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent required with a concentration in business, finance, accounting or other relevant discipline
* Experience in Asset Management including stakeholder management
* Ability to work with financial concepts and perform financial analysis including ROI, IRR and discounted cash flow modelling
* Awareness of policy and regulatory frameworks applicable to asset management
* Knowledge of the European renewable energy industry and key market trends
* Basic knowledge of solar PV plant operation and maintenance which can be built upon with experience in the role
* Experience of effective risk identification and risk management (including Health & Safety implications)
* Experience of dealing with contracts along with proven ability to liaise with and manage / monitor contractors
* Experience in budget management; including monitoring and reporting
Skills :
* Strong personal organisation skills including ability to manage a diverse and demanding workload within a constantly changing environment
* Proven technical ability to diagnose problems and identify solutions
* Proven ability to use own initiative to make appropriate decisions
* Strong analytical skills to critically appraise financial results and challenge performance
* Excellent communication skills including written; verbal and interpersonal
* Fluent in English and Spanish
