About the Role
We are looking for a highly rigorous and detail-oriented Project Manager to lead temporary architecture projects in the trade show sector based in our Madrid office. This role is essential to ensure excellence in project planning, execution, and delivery, maintaining the highest standards of quality, meeting deadlines, and staying within budget, while exceeding client expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead production and installation phases, managing both internal and external teams to ensure smooth and high-quality execution.
- Optimize costs and timelines, guaranteeing efficient use of resources while respecting project budgets.
- Guarantee delivery deadlines, ensuring strict adherence to agreed timelines.
- Ensure top-notch quality, monitoring every detail from initial planning to final execution.
- Control budgets, keeping costs aligned with financial targets without compromising quality.
- Exceed client expectations, delivering results that build trust and loyalty through outstanding outcomes.
- Foster strong client relationships, acting as a reliable point of contact and earning their confidence.
- Identify risks and unforeseen challenges, addressing them proactively to minimize impact on projects.
- Develop realistic and actionable project schedules, ensuring timely completion and leading teams to meet them.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, ensuring alignment with project objectives at every stage.
- Oversee on-site operations during events, troubleshooting and solving issues efficiently.
This is a demanding role requiring someone capable of managing multiple complex projects simultaneously, maintaining exceptional attention to detail, and thriving under pressure without compromising quality or results.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Interior Design, or a related field. Additional certifications in project management (PMP, PRINCE2, etc.) are highly valued.
- Experience: At least 5 years of proven experience managing projects in temporary architecture, interior design, trade shows, or events, with a track record of leading complex projects.
- Languages: Fluency in Spanish and English (C1 level or higher). Additional languages are a plus.
- Availability: Willingness to travel nationally and internationally as required.
Hard Skills:
- Advanced proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, Trello, Asana, or similar).
- Expertise in creating and managing detailed budgets, schedules, and technical documentation.
- Strong knowledge of technical software, including AutoCAD or SketchUp.
- Comprehensive understanding of design, production, and installation processes for trade show booths.
- Advanced negotiation skills for dealing with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders.
