THE ROLE AND YOUR IMPACT AT TIER
1. Take the technical leadership and coordinate projects within your team.
2. Lead the technical discovery of the team's projects and identify potential dependencies with other teams.
3. Lead the delivery of complex experiences on iOS.
4. Ensure technical quality and manage technical debt.
5. Advise product managers and stakeholders on technical feasibility.
6. Lead a team of several engineers.
7. Coordinate projects with other teams.
8. Support the growth of our developers and mentor them.
9. You have an agile mindset with the ability to advocate for cross-functional collaboration.
10. Conduct regular 1-1s with the rest of the team members.
YOU'LL FIT GREAT WITH THESE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
1. You have 5+ years of experience as a technical contributor on iOS projects.
2. You are deeply familiar with Swift, its language features, and the ecosystem around it.
3. You have a broad knowledge of mobile build tools, CI systems, dependency managers, and tools for static code analysis.
4. You have experience with architectural patterns that support a high level of modularization.
5. You have experience shaping product requirements into technical specifications.
6. You understand the difference between outcomes versus output.
7. You are practical and can assess and make tradeoffs.
8. You are confident with automated testing and high release frequency.
9. You take a personal stake in the success of the product and the team.
10. You are motivated to find new ways and drive to improve our best practices.
11. (Bonus) You are interested in backend development in general and would love to pick up some backend knowledge.
12. (Bonus) Experience with Android development and Kotlin is a plus.
