How can you help us?
The Head of Quality Manufacturing will manage all aspects of quality assurance and food safety in our Hero Spain manufacturing site. This role demands expertise in food safety regulations, quality systems, and the unique challenges of baby food production. The candidate must have strong leadership skills to guide the team, ensuring top standards of safety and quality. Collaboration with the Quality Excellence team, southern cluster's Country quality team, Production, Engineering, Operational Excellence, Procurement, and R&D is essential.
Your Main Responsibilities
1. Leadership and Team Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of quality assurance and food safety professionals. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability within the team.
2. Quality Assurance: Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems in compliance with industry standards and regulations. Ensure adherence of manufacturing site to QM processes.
3. Food Safety: Develop and implement food safety programs. Conduct regular food safety audits and inspections.
4. Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on local, national, and international food safety regulations and standards.
5. Continuous Improvement: Analyze quality performance data to identify trends, root causes, and areas for improvement.
Skills and Competencies
1. Masters degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 15 years of experience in quality assurance and food safety, with at least 10 years in a leadership role.
3. Extensive knowledge of baby food manufacturing processes and regulations.
4. Strong understanding of HACCP, GMP, ISO, and other food safety standards.
5. Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing teams.
