TITLE: Key Account Manager

The Client: JBAndrews is working with a leading Freight Forwarding & Logistics provider operating globally across multiple industries, with a focus for this position on customers in the Automotive, Retail and Aerospace verticals in particular.
The Role:
Due to the growth of the Spanish division, the business requires an experienced Key Account Manager, reporting directly into the Sales Director in Spain, with the primary focus of hunting new business in their retail space as well as growing their existing automotive accounts.
You will engage with key stakeholders to develop strategies that increase volume across targeted trade lanes, particularly utilising the APAC and Latin American trade lanes.
This position will require you to cultivate new relationships both internally and externally, make decisive choices on which partnerships to pursue or discontinue, collaborate with various vertical and project teams on cost-reduction initiatives, and develop sustainable business opportunities at corporate, local, and international levels.
You will utilise your expertise to identify potential synergies in Aerospace operations between Spain and France to further propel growth.
Build and maintain high-level relationships with clients to enhance customer satisfaction and secure long-term partnerships.
This position will have a service focus of Air & Sea Freight, but will also include Land Transport and Warehousing activity.
The Requirements:
The business is looking for an individual with a proven track record in a sales-driven, hunting-focused account management role, specifically within the logistics and/or freight forwarding industry.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in developing new business and consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Strong understanding of Ocean & Air Freight operations within the above trade lanes, particularly in automotive and retail verticals.
Ideally the candidate will be able to demonstrate strong leadership skills through prior experience on an international level.
Ideally the candidate will have managed small to large sized customer accounts before, with a focus on the more complex contracts.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills; fluency in English and Spanish is essential; knowledge of French is a plus.
The ideal candidate will be based in the Greater Barcelona area, with a willingness to travel as necessary.
