Who are you?
We are seeking a Video Specialist (Paternity Cover - Starting March 2025) for a 6 weeks contract, responsible for creating high-quality video content that supports the company's marketing and communication efforts.
The Video Specialist role will involve capturing, editing, and producing videos that effectively convey the company's message, promote products, and enhance brand awareness. The Video Specialist will work closely with the brand teams and other stakeholders to develop engaging visual content that meets the industry's regulatory requirements.
We are looking for a developing talent to join our team with ideally in excess of 2-3 years of in-house corporate experience.

Key Responsibilities:
Set up and operate professional video equipment, including cameras, lighting, and audio devices, to capture high-quality footage.
Ensure appropriate lighting, sound recording, and camera settings.
Comply with industry guidelines, legal regulations, and privacy policies when filming medical professionals, patients, and production shoots.
Direct talent, interview subjects, and guide them to deliver the desired message and maintain a professional atmosphere during shoots.
Collaborate with the brand teams to understand project goals, target audience, and key messaging for each video project
Perform and oversee post-production. Collaborate with Video Editors and Designers to the facilitate editing process. Provide direction for the selection of footage, audio and graphics, coordinating any required visual effects, animations and other elements ensuring that the final video meets the project's objectives, brand guidelines, and technical specifications.
Video Editing and Post-production Specifics:
Import and organize video footage, audio files, and additional assets into the editing software.
Edit raw footage to create cohesive and visually appealing videos that align with the project's objectives and target audience.
Enhance video quality through colour correction, audio enhancements, and the addition of visual effects or motion graphics.
Incorporate licensed music and sound effects to enhance the overall production value and evoke desired emotions.
Optimize videos for various platforms and formats, such as social media, websites, presentations, and conferences.
Maintain an organized file structure and backup system for all video assets to ensure efficient retrieval and archival.
Creative Development and Innovation:
Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in video production and editing.
Continuously improve skills and knowledge to deliver innovative and engaging video content.
Provide creative input and contribute to brainstorming sessions for video concepts and strategies.
Research and recommend new equipment, software, and techniques to enhance video production capabilities.
Collaboration and Communication:
Collaborate with marketing team, internal stakeholders, external vendors to gather requirements delivering outstanding video content
Maintain clear communication throughout the video production process, including pre/post-production
Adapt to feedback and changes in project requirements.
Requirements:
A further education qualification in Film Production, Communication, or a related field preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of proven experience as a Video Specialist encompassing Videographer and Editor roles, preferably in an in-house environment, alternatively a creative agency or production company.
A strengthening and demonstrable portfolio and showreel showcasing the production and editing of a variety of video projects across different genres and formats with a focus upon relevant corporate content, which must be submitted within the job application.
Expertise in video editing software (e.g. Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro) and other relevant tools.
Proficiency in Post Software Adobe After Effects
Excellent knowledge of operating professional video equipment, including cameras, lighting, and audio devices.
Knowledge of video production techniques, including lighting, sound recording, shot composition and post-production processes.
A creative mindset, with a passion for storytelling through visual media.
Experience in creating videos for various platforms, such as social media, websites, and presentations.
Knowledge of copyright laws, licensing, and usage rights for music, images, and footage.
Excellent project management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and build relationships with clients, team members, and external partners.
Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work within established deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
