About the School
Baleares International College (BIC) is the largest British owned school in Mallorca, providing education based on the English National Curriculum to 485 students (from 5 to 18) in Sa Porrassa, a very accessible but beautiful rural area, adjacent to the south west coast of Mallorca. We are accredited by the Spanish Ministry of Education, based upon inspection and recommendation by the British Council, and are a founding member of the National Association of British Schools in Spain (NABSS). The school is also a member of COBIS, the Council of British International Schools.
About the Opportunity
This exciting opportunity is to join the secondary English team in our all-through school. The team is a strong one, with a wealth of experience, evidenced by excellent exam results, high expectations, superb subject knowledge, and close collaboration. If you have a passion for English, with relentless positivity and high expectations for the students you have the privilege to teach, do apply. Most importantly, we are seeking to appoint a teacher who will also be a strong team player, with a good sense of humour, who is caring and authentic, hardworking and resilient, and with a steadfast commitment and belief that all children can achieve.
The successful candidate will also want to play their part in the development and implementation of the school’s strategic plan, supporting the delivery of the school’s mission to make the school the number one choice on the island. As a British school, specialising in teaching the National Curriculum to a diverse, international student population, strong English language skills are an essential requirement and applications from native-level speakers of English are preferred.
