We are looking for a team member to perform application deployments and support our software applications to internal and external customers. Working with a team to ensure software release and support across various environments is accomplished smoothly. This is a hands-on operational 24/7 role performing Tier 2 application support.
Some of your day will include:
1. Work closely with operation engineers, QA and software development teams performing code releases across various environments.
2. Troubleshoot configuration and deployment issues during scheduled release cycles.
3. Liaise with on-site and remote teams in support of software deployments & support of customer & internal applications.
4. Working with team responsible for all production/non-production software platforms and ensuring a high availability operational status.
5. Part of 24/7 Support for all production applications based on an on-call rotation with occasional deployment on off-hours.
6. Provide input on production site uptime & stability.
7. Manage the day-to-day operation of system monitoring operational tools
8. Actively participate in quarterly weekend releases

2+ years of experience in
9. Hands on software release role
10. Linux, Windows-based application programs
11. PowerShell or Linux shell languages
12. Open-source release software
Preferred experience in
13. Recipes and cookbooks using CHEF
14. AWS or equivalent cloud services
15. Pingdom, Jira, Splunk PRTG, AWS
16. Coordinating releases
17. Degree in Computer Science or related technical field of added work experience
