Purpose of the position
The Regional Importer Manager is responsible for leading, directing, managing and developing sales and importer activities in certain countries across the EMEA region so that HIAB’s business objectives are met, activities comply with regulations and new and existing markets are maintained and developed. The position is open for Spain and France.
Main tasks and responsibilities
1. Formulate a sales and marketing strategy for the assigned countries under scope, developing guidelines and policies in line with the business strategy
2. Responsible for sales expansion, ensuring new product introductions in new and existing markets, new market insights and active relationship management towards existing and new customers
3. Establish and monitor targets in areas such as product mix, sales volume, market share, or business development
4. Challenge, guide, develop and coach importers to reach their sales targets and continuously improve key skills; develop and lead implementation of new sales excellence initiatives, including organization set-up, resourcing.
What you’ll need to succeed
5. Master’s degree in business discipline or equivalent is preferred
6. Several years of experience in sales, services and marketing roles (commercial and/or operations experience) in this or related industry
7. Dealer, Importer and partner management experience
8. Experience in material handling or mobile equipment commercial activities is highly desirable. Also truck industry experience is appreciated
9. Proven ability to drive sales, operations and profitability and manage customer and dealer relationships
10. Leadership and coaching experience with good track record
11. Knowledge of different sales tools, systems and training approaches to drive the new ways of working
12. Experience working in an international corporate environment
13. Experience in development of business plan/strategy and execution
14. Previous experience of using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools
15. Proactive and self-driven working approach
16. Results and achievement oriented
17. Proven team player with a co-operative style, ability to build long-term relationship relationships with different stakeholders
18. Ensure all parties internally and externally follow the agreed processes and take steps to continuously improve
19. Fluent written and spoken English is a must
20. Other languages considered a high advantage are: French, Arabic.
