Job Location: Zaragoza Microsoft Cloud Operations and Innovation (CO&I) is the team behind the cloud. Within CO&I, the Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC) team is responsible for delivering core datacenter infrastructure for Microsofts cloud business. The MS portfolio consists of complex, multi disciplinary, large scale, multi year datacenter construction and lease projects. The Data Center Development (DCD) Construction Superintendent CSA role will provide leadership of all field related Civil, Structural, and Architectural (CSA) infrastructure mission critical activities and coordinate with DCD Construction Project Manager (CPM), Consultants, OFCI Vendors, General Contractors, Subcontractors and other project stakeholders for proper execution. The CSA Construction Superintendent Is Ultimately Responsible For the complete project delivery of the CSA scope for each site location, including commissioning. ensuring that each project meets the Data Center Development (DCD) guidelines and standards, which may be adjusted from time to time based on best practices and Lesson Learned drawn from previous projects as well as industry changing best practice. Responsibilities Safety Management: Implement and enforce safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment. Represents Microsoft as a safety leader and advocate on all construction projects, ensuring adherence to safety standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., Occupational Safety and Health Administration [OSHA], or equivalent) to ensure compliance and aggressive management of risk. Routine site walks with GC and Packaged Contractors Safety Team to establish and maintain a Safe Working Environment. Performs and participates in incident investigations and root cause analysis. Quality Assurance: Ensure all MEP works are carried out to the highest quality standards and in compliance with project specifications and drawings. Hold the GC, OFCI Vendors and Subcontractors accountable to Quality Control requirements as set forth and agreed upon in their Contract PEP. Weekly audit on the QA/QC documents and COMPASS implementation. Organisation Management: Lead and manage MEP teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration among team members and subcontractors. Coordinates with team members from Microsoft stakeholders, EoR/AE, OFCI Vendors, GC, Regulatory Permit Inspector and CxA. Project Planning and Coordination: Oversee the planning, scheduling, and coordination of MEP systems to ensure coordinated, timely and efficient project completion.
