With offices in multiple European locations, our client is looking for a Spanish and English-speaking Payroll Specialist to join their team. This role will be essential in ensuring accurate and compliant payroll operations across different regions while optimizing processes and improving overall efficiency. The ideal candidate will be a meticulous payroll professional with a proactive attitude, combining technical know-how with problem-solving skills to ensure smooth payroll execution and adherence to regulations.Main ResponsibilitiesOversee payroll processing for Spain in coordination with various teams, reporting to the Spanish Senior Payroll ManagerAddress employee questions regarding payroll, tax calculations, and social security contributionsEnsure adherence to labour regulations for employee lifecycle processes, including onboarding, offboarding, and tax filingsManage tax declarations and reporting according to the established calendar while overseeing social security contributions and payroll-related taxesStay informed about local labour laws and introduce process enhancements to improve payroll operationsPrepare payroll reports for Finance and other departments, conducting payroll analyses to support workforce planningSupport payroll system upgrades and digital transformation initiatives to optimize processesDevelop and maintain internal payroll guidelines, provide system expertise, and train internal teams as neededHandle payroll-related documentation, leave management, and employee status changes in compliance with legal requirementsContribute to the design and optimization of pension plans, social benefits, and flexible compensation programs while advising the Sales team on payroll regulations across different marketsCore Skills/ExperienceExpertise in payroll management, ensuring accuracy, compliance with Spanish labour laws, and proper tax filingsStrong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail, maintaining precise records and validating payroll calculationsProficiency in payroll software such as A3 Innuva, Siltra, Sistema Red, or similar toolsExperience in optimizing payroll processes through automation and efficiency improvementsSolid understanding of social security systems, pension plans, and employee benefitsAbility to collaborate effectively with HR, Finance, and other departments to align payroll operations with business needsAdaptability to fast-paced environments, handling multiple payroll processes with accuracy and efficiencyClear and professional communication skills to provide payroll insights and support cross-functional teamsPrevious experience managing payroll in Spain, with additional exposure to UK or other European payroll processes being a plusA proactive and solution-oriented approach, eager to learn and expand payroll expertise across new regionsWhat's on offerPermanent ContractHybrid working modelOption to work remotely from abroad for a few weeks each yearMedical Health InsuranceMeal VouchersAccess to Learning PlatformReferral Bonus ProgramOur recruitment processStep 1: Interview with our Recruiter to get to know you betterStep 2: Interview with a Senior Payroll SpecialistStep 3: Interview with the Hiring Manager
