Senior Wind Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Wind Engineer to join a leading renewable energy generation multinational group. The ideal candidate is someone passionate about the renewable energy sector and is looking for a new professional growth!
Functions & Responsibilities:
* Technical Leadership and Support : Lead a team of wind engineers to provide technical analysis and support across various business areas, including wind source analysis, design, construction, commissioning, operation, and maintenance for wind power projects.
* Design and Specification Review : Ensure wind turbine system designs, load analysis, and components (blades, generators, control systems) meet project goals, regulatory requirements, and conduct lifetime analysis for wind farms.
* Commissioning and Troubleshooting : Oversee or perform testing and commissioning of wind turbine systems, troubleshoot issues, and provide root cause analysis for major turbine failures during commissioning or operation.
* Optimization and Retrofit Work : Review major retrofit, repair, or overhaul work, supervise subcontractor technical activities, and propose technical optimizations to improve wind farm performance.
* Mentorship and Due Diligence : Mentor junior engineers, contribute to technical problem-solving within the company, and support technical due diligence for mergers and acquisitions related to wind projects.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you should have:
* A Master's degree in Mechanical or Electrical engineering or equivalent is required.
* At least 5 years of experience in the wind energy industry is required, including experience in wind turbine design, wind farm development, and construction.
* Advanced to Intermediate English language proficiency (B2-C1), Native Spanish language proficiency (C1-C2), both written and verbal.
Bonus points if you have:
* Technical Certification/Safety Training in BST/GWO to work in wind farms.
* Experience with wind energy software tools such as wind resource assessment software, turbine performance modeling software, and design software is highly valued.
* Familiarity with local, state, and federal regulations related to wind energy.
* A creative and innovative mindset is highly valued for identifying new technologies and approaches to improve wind energy system design and performance.
* Strong understanding of all aspects of Wind design, installation, retrofits, and troubleshooting.
* Great time management, analytical and problem resolution capacity.
