We are looking for a Wind Project Engineer with strong technical expertise in onshore wind projects, especially during early development and the transition to construction. This role involves evaluating project feasibility from an engineering standpoint, identifying potential design challenges, and supporting both contract management and construction teams to ensure smooth project execution.
Main Responsibilities:
* Carry out early-stage engineering and constructability assessments to identify design or construction risks.
* Support feasibility studies and optimize site layouts and infrastructure for cost and efficiency.
* Work closely with development teams to ensure projects are ready for construction.
* Contribute to the drafting and negotiation of key technical contracts (BOP and TSA).
* Review technical aspects of bids and assist with supplier evaluations.
* Collaborate with civil, electrical, and structural engineers to refine project design.
* Visit project sites to assess conditions, grid connections, and access routes.
* Coordinate with turbine manufacturers and other stakeholders to ensure technical alignment.
* Review technical documentation, risk analyses, and contract deliverables.
* Provide support during the construction phase to ensure compliance with engineering designs and specs.
Requirements:
* Degree in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
* Experience in wind project engineering, covering both development and construction stages.
* Strong understanding of site design, infrastructure, and constructability for wind farms.
* Experience negotiating BOP and TSA contracts from both technical and commercial angles.
* Skilled communicator with experience working with OEMs, contractors, and consultants.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
* Willingness to travel for site visits and project meetings.
* Fluent in English.
