Johnson & Johnson is currently seeking a Maintenance Systems Manager to join our MAKE Asset Management Organization located in the US Large Molecule Drug Substance Site in Wilson, North Carolina. This role will support a new site startup, which may require periods of heightened travel to support these activities, dependent on functional needs and project timelines.
While this role will ultimately support the site operations located in Wilson, NC, it will also be required to support the project phase across both design & construction. For the project design phase, the role will require you to be present with our design teams in the Greater Philadelphia region. Once the design phase is completed, this role will support the construction and operational start-up of the site.
The Maintenance Systems Manager reports to the Maintenance Senior Manager and provides hands-on process, data, and people leadership in the following service areas: SAP master data; spare parts inventory, maintenance planning and scheduling, contractor oversight, and maintenance data contextualization.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for planning, designing, and implementing maintenance programs to optimize the availability and productivity of manufacturing facilities and equipment.
2. Plans and coordinates maintenance engineering work including review of mechanical and electrical engineering specifications.
3. Direct supervision of maintenance staff and contractor personnel.
4. Establish maintenance strategies that drive safe, reliable, effective, efficient, and customer-centric maintenance operations.
5. Accountable for the Maintenance Planning and Scheduling Process.
6. Maintain a culture of participation and compliance with EHS policies and procedures.
7. Manage the completion of CAPA’s and provide SME support as necessary.
8. Lead SAP CMMS documentation management, updates, and improvements.
9. Identify and execute continuous improvement, simplification, and cost reduction opportunities.
10. Lead/Support Projects and deliver agreed scope, time, and cost.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, IT Science, or related is required.
Required: A minimum of 8 years of experience in a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of maintenance activities in GMP manufacturing, utilities, and facilities equipment. Influencing skills, partnering and collaboration skills, analytical skills, conflict and risk management skills, critical thinking, and good oral and written presentation skills are required.
Preferred: People management experience. Project Management experience. Experience in green or brown field GMP MFG facility start-up.
