To expand our services and offerings within Spain, we are looking for a Senior Account Manager with a proven track record to join our Spanish commercial team. The location of the position can be from Madrid or Barcelona. Do you have a network in the vibrant life science industry and are a hero in building strong relationships with key decision makers? Do you have experience with selling high value Expert Services and Projects? Then this position might be a match!
What will be your responsibilities?
1. Develop and implement sales strategies to meet and expand the business in Spain.
2. Prospect, identify and evaluate new business opportunities with new and existing customers in the region.
3. Focus on developing key accounts for long term consulting positions and selling project-based services.
4. Build new and expand existing client relationships across multiple functions with key decision makers at C-level and operational level.
5. Build long-term customer relationships and strategic business partnerships to support clients from idea to patient.
6. Identify customer needs, respond to inquiries and propose creative solutions in a timely manner.
7. Establish and manage a pipeline of opportunities to achieve sales targets.
8. Manage the full sales process from lead identification to contracting with accurate follow-up in the CRM system.
9. Evaluate complex questions, divide them into manageable parts to guide the customer through their journey.
10. Manage multiple stakeholders both internally and externally.
11. Expand your network in the life sciences sector by participating in different networking associations.
12. Build your internal network within the organization with QbD consultants, sales colleagues, HR, marketing.
Who are we looking for?
1. You have a master’s degree in a scientific field, with at least 10-15 years of field experience.
2. You have a proven track record developing mid-level and senior customer contacts.
3. You are fluent in Spanish & English; knowledge of French is a big plus.
4. You have passion for the medical device/pharma/biotech world with technical communication skills.
5. High-level knowledge of quality system standards, (pharmaceutical) GMP environment, and developments in the cell & gene sector are a plus.
6. You can engage clients across different activities crucial for bringing the product to market.
7. You possess self-confidence and the ability to listen actively to customers and partners.
8. You are comfortable working with different tools and systems, ensuring accurate follow-up in the CRM.
9. You communicate clearly and report concerns in due time.
