Job DescriptionProduction Engineer Responsibilities :Provide technical support to production areas, ensuring the achievement of OEE objectives and production KPIsInitiate and coordinate improvement actions across various departments to enhance production efficiencyAnalyse production processes and implement strategies to optimise performance and reduce wasteDevelop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for production processesCollaborate with the quality control team to ensure products meet required standards and specificationsTroubleshoot equipment issues and implement preventive maintenance schedulesLiaise with suppliers and internal teams to resolve technical issues and improve product qualityParticipate in new product development projects, providing manufacturing input and feasibility assessmentsMonitor and report on key production metrics, presenting findings to managementStay abreast of industry trends and technological advancements to recommend innovative solutionsEnsure compliance with health and safety regulations and environmental standardsContribute to continuous improvement initiatives, fostering a culture of efficiency and qualityQualificationsEssential Qualifications :Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design and Product Development Engineering, or a related fieldProficiency in MS Office suite and administrative tasksFluent in English, with excellent verbal and written communication skillsPreferred Qualifications :Experience in production engineering or a related fieldKnowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologiesFamiliarity with quality control processes and standardsUnderstanding of health and safety regulations in manufacturing environmentsExperience with process analysis and optimization techniquesAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and specificationsStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detailExcellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teamsLean Manufacturing: Basic knowledge of Lean elements such as: 5S, Continuous Improvement, Kaizen, Kanban, Point-of-Use.Warehousing, Pokayoke, Process Mapping, SMED, etc.Thorough understanding of engineering drawing and CAD principles.The ideal candidate will possess a combination of technical expertise, analytical skills, and a commitment to driving efficiency and quality in production processes.
