A Snapshot of Your Day:
The Product Definition Engineer creates and manages the product definition data along the entire product lifecycle and ensures highest data quality in product development and project execution. At the interface between engineering, procurement and manufacturing, the Product Definition Engineer holds the data governance in Teamcenter and SAP under consideration of all business requirements. Contributing to the continuous improvement and evolution of processes for product definition and data management are also part of the job.
How You’ll Make an Impact:
1. Creation and Maintenance of design parts, Material Masters and Engineering Bill of Materials for hydrogen generation plants
2. Management of the product definition data in our cloud-based SAP system
3. Creation of design structures in Teamcenter/NX and matching to Bill of Material structures
4. Mapping of Bill of Material structures to design structures
5. Organizational Change of all product definition data along the entire product lifecycle in Teamcenter and SAP
6. Process definition and further development of process descriptions and design guidelines for management of engineering data
7. Adjustment of design parts, technical drawings and datasheets as part of the continuous product maintenance
8. Close alignment with manufacturing and procurement departments to ensure efficient data governance meeting all business requirements
9. Close collaboration with Lead Engineers in product development and project execution as well as procurement and manufacturing to ensure closed feedback loops and to improve the product data quality
What You Bring:
1. University degree in mechanical engineering or similar qualification with relevant professional experience
2. Several years of practical experience in 3D design and product definition
3. Good knowledge of the respective standards and regulations as well as in material and coating selection
4. Expert knowledge in Teamcenter and SAP
5. High expertise in using NX as 3D design tool
6. Good knowledge in plant layout, piping design, and design of steel structures and good knowledge of manufacturing processes and assembly works
7. Experience in managing CAD data of large projects
8. Very structured way of working and passion for accuracy
9. Strong communication skills and a good sense of humor
10. Willingness to travel nationally and internationally
11. Business fluent English. German language skills are a bonus
12. Great passion for the field of energy transition and decarbonization
13. Willingness to work in interdisciplinary teams to jointly develop innovative solutions

The Business Segment Sustainable Energy Systems (SE TI SES) develops, manufactures, and sells innovative Hydrogen and Power-to-X systems, solutions and services based on the ELYZER portfolio. With this innovative electrochemical system, water is split into its components hydrogen and oxygen using the PEM (Proton Exchange Membrane) and (green) electricity. By helping our customers in the industrial, energy and mobility sectors to decarbonize their processes we are taking a further step towards a sustainable future.
