Amidst the regulatory, financial, and technical maze that has attempted to equate sustainability with Non-Financial Statements, the industry has made access to information more complex. When faced with a black box, the keyholder becomes indispensable. In this context, the only way to elevate sustainability to the level it deserves is by adding transparency and eliminating all the bullshit.

YOUR JOB
Backend Software Engineer
Your contribution to Dcycle will be critical and exceptional. You will be part of a team focused on building the best environmental analysis engine on the market. Your role will involve dealing with complex data sources, simplifying them, and making them accessible to our clients.
You will collaborate with both the backend and frontend teams to create innovative solutions, participating in full-stack development. Your work will help build features that drive the environmental impact of our platform.
At Dcycle, developers have absolute freedom and responsibility in the evolution of the product. You’ll be encouraged to research, implement solutions, and continuously improve your skills.
Key Responsibilities
* Collaborate with product and development teams to build features that enhance our sustainability platform, driving environmental impact with each line of code.
* Contribute to both backend and frontend code, assisting in full-stack development while gaining hands-on experience in real-world projects.
* Identify issues and work on solutions to optimize performance, maintainability, and scalability.
* Work closely with senior developers to gain insights into best practices, software design, and development methodologies.
* Participate actively in team discussions and code reviews, sharing ideas and feedback to improve the overall product.

Technical Skills
Degree in Software Engineering, Informatics, Computer Science, Statistics or an equivalent technical field.
At least 3 years of experience in:
* Programming languages: Python
* PostgreSQL
* Clear understanding of Object Oriented Programming Principles
* Knowledge of Pattern Designs when building solutions
* Version control (git)
Valuable:
* FastAPI
* Be able to build software that scales over time, in both performance and maintainability.
* Good software writer. Not only do we want you to solve problems, but we also want to understand your solutions.

How does the hiring process look like?
We are truly proud to have a particularly tough selection process. We believe that what motivates a great professional the most is working side by side with other great professionals, so we make an effort to raise the bar with every new teammate we hire.
* The process consists of a brief qualification call (15 min), an in-person or video interview with Operations (45 min), an in-person interview with the Hiring Manager (60 min), an in-person values interview (45 min), and an in-person interview with the founders (60 min).
* Depending on the position, we may ask you to prepare a brief business case or tech skills assessment. We know the last thing you want after you finish your regular job is to start with yet another business case, so we commit to making it as light and brief as possible to your day to day, and to invest as much time in reviewing it as you invested in preparing it.
* We want to respect your time as much as possible, so we commit to providing feedback within 12 hours from your interview, and providing a slot for your next interview within the next two days. In the best-case scenario, no more than 10 days will pass from your first call to signing the contract.
