About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Energy Supply Business Development Lead to join our team in ENGIE España. As a key member of our sales strategy team, you will be responsible for driving business growth in energy supply, focusing on green power and the Spanish market. Your expertise in energy markets, particularly in power and gas supply activity, will help us identify new market opportunities and trends, and adjust our commercial strategy accordingly.
In this role, you will lead and manage a team of sales professionals, interact daily with our customers, and work closely with other departments, including energy management, trading, and operations, to ensure the delivery of optimal gas and power solutions to clients.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement sales strategies to drive business growth in energy supply
* Build and maintain strong relationships with large energy consumers, businesses, and key stakeholders
* Negotiate and structure power and gas supply contracts that meet client needs and internal risk mandates
* Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the supply sector in Iberia
* Monitor power and gas market trends and price movements to help clients design competitive procurement strategies
* Collaborate with trading desk and risk management teams to structure and price adequate supply products
* Stay updated on industry regulations and ensure compliance in all sales processes
* Train, mentor, and develop the sales team to enhance their performance and industry knowledge
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, or related field
* Minimum 7-10 years of experience in the energy sector, particularly in power and gas supply activity
* Strong understanding of electricity and gas markets, pricing mechanisms, and regulatory environments
* Proven track record of achieving sales targets and leading successful teams
* Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills
* Able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic market environment
* Proficiency in English (B2 level)
* High proficiency in Spanish
