Role Description :
The Social Impact Manager, with a focus on human rights, plays a crucial role in defining and implementing Hexagon's social strategy, ensuring that the company's activities and business relationships uphold human rights standards and create social value. This role is responsible for assessing and addressing salient human rights risks within Hexagon's value chain, supporting global operations in due diligence regulatory requirements, and driving community engagement programs. The Social Impact Manager will play a crucial role in advancing Hexagon's commitment to human rights and social responsibility, contributing to positive outcomes for communities, stakeholders, and the company as a whole.
Responsibilities :
1. Develop and implement strategies that promote human rights within the organization's operations and its value chain.
2. Define and implement Hexagon's social strategy, including the development of global policies and specific guidelines.
3. Assess human rights salient risks within Hexagon's value chain, identifying potential negative impacts on individuals and communities.
Partnership Building :
1. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop partnerships and initiatives that advance education, innovation and foster inclusion.
2. Cultivate and maintain partnerships with NGOs, governmental bodies, and other stakeholders to amplify the impact of our initiatives.
Monitoring and Reporting :
1. Establish mechanisms to monitor the impact of our initiatives and prepare regular reports for internal and external stakeholders.
2. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of social initiatives, tracking progress and adjusting as needed.
3. Engage in advocacy efforts to influence policies and practices that foster human rights, both locally and globally.
Program Management :
1. Lead the design, execution, and evaluation of social impact programs and initiatives focused on social responsibility, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
2. Drive community engagement programs to promote dialogue, collaboration, and positive social outcomes.
Training and Education :
1. Develop and deliver training programs and educational materials to raise awareness about social impact among employees, partners, and the broader community.
2. Provide guidance and support to decentralized organizations within Hexagon's global context, ensuring alignment with our corporate strategy.
Internal Collaboration :
1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams across the organization to integrate social considerations into decision-making processes and business practices.
Profile :
1. Bachelor’s degree in economics or business, with a passion for improving social impact.
2. 4-5 years of experience in roles involving social impact, sustainability, or corporate responsibility, with a proven track record of working in decentralized organizations in a global context.
3. Proficiency in assessing human rights risks across business value chains, with a deep understanding of salient human rights issues.
4. Experience in stakeholder engagement and partnership management, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
5. Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive initiatives forward.
6. Collaborative and team-oriented mindset, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Fluency in English is required; additional languages are a plus.
8. Willingness to travel up to 20% globally to engage with stakeholders and support social impact initiatives.
