The Principal Scientific Account Lead (SAL), V&ESE; – Field, is responsible for providing fair-balanced, objective, scientific/clinical information to external and internal customers across all the key products within the Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine (J&J; IM) Pharmaceutical portfolio. External customers can include, but are not limited to, Managed Care Organizations (MCOs), large physician groups, Group Purchasing Organizations (GPOs), Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) companies, Governmental Agencies (CMS and VA/DoD System), Medicare, Medicaid, Long Term Care (LTC) facilities, Integrated Delivery Networks (IDNs), and Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs) in the assigned region/geography.
Key areas of responsibility include:
1. Develop and implement scientific strategies aligned with business objectives and patient access needs.
2. Lead engagements with Population Health Decision Makers (PHDM) in territory accounts, communicating complex scientific and pharmacoeconomic concepts in a clear and compelling manner to diverse audiences.
3. Establish and maintain strong relationships with key PHDMs.
4. Develop a scientific account plan that effectively addresses the current access priorities as well as forecasts new strategic stakeholder opportunities across priority accounts.
5. Collaborate with SCG, medical affairs, and commercial teams to support product launch and lifecycle management.
6. Shape evidence-based value propositions for PHDMs.
7. Support the development of dossiers, health technology assessments, and other market access materials.
8. Provide strategic direction and shape research initiatives with the RWE and Population Health Research teams based on customer insights.
9. Foster a culture of innovation and excellence across Scientific Affairs (SA).
