Thanks to its focus on innovation, performance & sustainability, the company has experienced strong growth and delivers projects for power and industrial plants all over the world.
As part of its strategic plan, the company is looking for a Sales & Proposal Engineer to support the growth of its Data Center cooling solutions business, with the ambition of reshaping the Data Center cooling industry. This role will play a key part in connecting technical expertise with client requirements, ensuring our cutting-edge, energy-efficient cooling solutions are effectively showcased and tailored to market needs.
MAIN FUNCTIONS
Reporting to the General Manager Spain, you will collaborate with sales, engineering, and clients to develop winning proposals, offer tailored solutions, and drive customer satisfaction. In addition, you will contribute to the business development of our solutions in the EMEA region, identifying opportunities and building strategic relationships to expand our presence.
Proposal Development & Support
* Analyse RFQs, technical specifications, and client requirements to prepare customized proposals.
* Collaborate with engineering and innovation teams to design tailored cooling solutions that meet diverse client needs.
* Ensure proposals comply with technical, financial, and timeline constraints, showcasing value and innovation.
* Contribute to the maintenance and update of the sales department pricing information systems & databases.
* Partner with the sales team to provide technical expertise during client meetings and presentations.
* Actively support the sales cycle, including pre-sales discussions, technical clarifications, and contract negotiations.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, ensuring a clear understanding of their cooling requirements.
Business Development (EMEA)
* Identify, pursue, and develop new business opportunities in the EMEA region, focusing on cooling technologies for data centers.
* Conduct market research to understand industry trends, competitor activity, and customer needs specific to EMEA.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with regional stakeholders, including data center operators, contractors, and consultants.
* Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to promote cooling solutions in the region.
* Collaborate with global teams to align EMEA strategies with company-wide goals and leverage synergies.
Technical Expertise
* Stay informed on the latest trends in cooling technologies, energy efficiency, and data center operations.
* Provide technical insights to clients and internal teams, positioning the company as an industry leader.
* Assist in developing technical marketing materials, including case studies, white papers, and product presentations.
Client Engagement
* Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, offering innovative solutions that enhance efficiency and sustainability.
* Build long-term relationships with customers, ensuring their needs are met throughout the project lifecycle.
* Gather feedback from customers to identify opportunities for product improvement and innovation.
Project Coordination
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, engineering, and operations, to ensure seamless project delivery.
* Provide input during project kickoff meetings to align expectations and execution plans.
PROFILE
* Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC, or a related field.
* 5+ years of experience in sales, proposals, or business development within the data center, HVAC, or cooling industry.
* Strong knowledge of cooling technologies (e.g., air cooling, liquid cooling, hybrid systems) and thermal engineering.
* Strong technical background with a commercial ability.
SKILLS
* Proven ability to create compelling, detailed technical proposals.
* Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
* Technical acumen combined with a customer-centric mindset.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong Excel abilities required; VBA programming knowledge is a plus.
* Fully proficient in English.
