Product Owner (PO) for Microsoft M365 Copilot Group: Mercedes-Benz Group AG
Description
As the M365 Copilot Product Owner at Mercedes-Benz, you will be responsible for defining the vision, strategy, and roadmap for introducing M365 to enhance the digital workplace experience. This role involves close collaboration with the central M365 team to guide product planning and prioritization, ensuring that the solutions align with Mercedes-Benz's unique business needs and goals. You will play a key role in driving innovation, facilitating the adoption of M365 tools, and improving productivity across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strengthen our interdisciplinary team as a PO for M365 Copilot and be responsible for the continuous rollout of new features for Microsoft Copilot for M365.
2. Responsible for the successful design of the product and the sustainable rollout of new features provided by the manufacturer in an evergreen approach, including:
1. Technical evaluation of features and their possibilities.
2. Obtaining approvals from relevant security and governance processes.
3. Maintaining our community and providing relevant training materials.
4. Conducting cost-optimized license management and considering the agreements made.
5. Informing relevant stakeholders, especially upper management.
6. Exchanging with the support team to ensure smooth support and derive operational needs.
7. Implementing and ensuring a lifecycle management process to continuously monitor usage and remove licenses if necessary.
8. Keeping an eye on the backlog and rollout plan, ensuring that the rollout planning is continuous and on schedule.
9. Understanding the needs of end users and knowing the steps required for a successful rollout and use of the software.
10. In close collaboration with the central M365 team, specifying and steering the rollout of new features and discussing prospective needs.
11. Planning and tracking the rollout, documenting and presenting the project to upper management or larger audiences as part of a townhall, and reacting to incidents within the project if necessary.
Qualifications
Education:
- Graduate or post-graduate degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering or equivalent qualification.
Experience:
- Solid foundation with a degree in computer science, business informatics, business administration, or comparable education with initial professional experience.
- Passionate and communicative personality eager to develop creative and effective solutions.
- Practical experience in agile rollout projects, preferably in the role of a Requirements Engineer (RE) or Product Owner (PO).
- Technical understanding (Copilot for M365 is an advantage) to form the interface between relevant stakeholders.
- Good understanding of business processes.
- Excellent analytical skills with a conceptual and solution-oriented approach.
- Exceptional communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement and change management.
- Ability to work in partnership with vendors like Microsoft, Infosys, and other key stakeholders.
- Experience in preparing strategic decisions and target group-oriented communication at all management levels.
Language:
- German (is a plus).
Skills and Competences:
- Customer orientation and organisational skills including time management and planning.
- Presentation and good communication skills.
- Knowledge of Agile Project Management Methods (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
- Ability to link policies, projects, and operations.
Main Tasks:
1. Product owner M365 AddOn services and M365 Apps architecture. Work with Infosys to organize rollout and operations of additional M365 services. (30%)
2. Co-designing and further developing the IT architecture and design of the M365 services. (20%)
3. E2E consideration of architecture, operational takeover, communication and support. (30%)
4. Collaboration with other MBAG teams as well as various external suppliers and development teams that support you with the architecture topics. (20%)
