Microsoft Cloud Operations and Innovation (CO&I) is the team behind the cloud. Within CO&I, the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) team is responsible for delivering core datacenter infrastructure for Microsoft’s cloud business. The MS portfolio consists of complex, multi-disciplinary, large scale, multi-year datacenter construction and lease projects. We are looking for a passionate, high-energy individual to help build the cloud datacenters that power the world’s largest online services.
Key Leadership Expectations Of The Site Director Include:
* Culture: Promote a positive and thriving culture enabling all personnel to work as one team. Hold staff meetings, listening sessions, and other cultural conversations to drive operational excellence.
* Talent Management: Responsible for talent management of his/her direct report including connect, reward, and career development. Manage performance and developmental feedback in close collaboration with regional and subregional functional leads.
* Safety: Provide visible leadership at site and ensure health, safety, and wellbeing of Microsoft personnel.
* Quality: Promote quality standards at site with design, material, and field execution.
* Schedule: Oversee and manage the execution of work as per the approved project schedule.
* Cost: Work closely with all functional teams to fully understand status of project progress and scope development.
The role of Site Director is primarily a construction site based role. Travel between sites or within region to support execution will be required.

Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications
* Bachelor's Degree in Construction Project Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field AND significant related experience.
OR equivalent experience.
Additional Or Preferred Qualifications
* Bachelor's Degree in Construction Project Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field AND solid related experience.
* Solid experience working on data center projects.
* Significant project management experience.
* Noteworthy people management experience.
* Business fluency in German.

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
* Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
