Your role at Weekendesk📑
Management & Strategic leadership
* Lead a team of 7-10 skilled frontend engineers.
* Mentor team members, set goals, track progress and performance, provide feedback, identify progress opportunities.
* Be an active part of headcount planning and hiring.
* Communicate and coordinate with other stakeholders.
* Drive the engineering culture of the team, set the learning roadmap.
* Actively contribute to roadmap definition and prioritization.
* Identify improvements that contribute to efficiency gains.
* Develop a vision for long-term transformations that could significantly benefit the company.
Technical leadership
* Take an active role in architectural decisions.
* Define frontend standards and guidelines as well as quality requirements.
* Define the frontend unit and e2e testing strategy.
* Define, in collaboration with Product Design, the UX strategy and associated technical requirements.

* Excellent communication skills
* Significant previous management experience
* Fluent in English
* Leadership qualities, mentoring experience and ability to guide technical decisions
* Strong critical thinking and data driven decision making
* Analytical and organizational skills
* Ability to bring cross-functional team members together and transmit the company values
* Strong focus on providing customer value
* Knowledge and experience in modern frontend technologies including React, Typescript and SSR frameworks
* Experience with Node.js
* Solid expertise in frontend testing
* Deep understanding of web performance
* Understanding of SEO principles and web accessibility

* Next Step: If you successfully pass the initial interview and any assessments, you'll be invited to a live coding session to prove your tech skills.
* Second interview: This interview will involve more in-depth discussions with the CTO.
