At HEN Spain we are looking for an Application Engineer, who will have the objective to ensure successful customer implementation and usage of products or applications, while building strong relationships and providing technical expertise and support throughout the entire lifecycle of the customer engagement, focusing mainly in the Southeast area of Spain and in Portugal.
The main responsibilities will be:
Product/Application Support: Ensure that customers have a clear understanding of how to effectively use the company's products or applications. This involves providing technical assistance, troubleshooting any problems or challenges, and offering recommendations for optimal use.
Customer engagement : Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers, acting as a trusted technical advisor. This includes actively listening to their needs and challenges, providing customized solutions, and delivering excellent customer service and actively make suggestions for improvements.
Pre-sales Support: Collaborate with the sales team to provide technical expertise during the pre-sales process. This involves conducting product demonstrations, presenting technical features and benefits, and addressing any technical concerns or questions raised by potential customers.
Application testing and validation : Responsible for testing the company's products or applications in different scenarios or environments. This includes identifying and analyzing technical problems, suggesting improvements or modifications, and providing feedback to the product development team.
Documentation and training : Provide and explain technical documentation, including user manuals, application guides, FAQs, and troubleshooting guides to customers. Also lead training sessions for internal teams or customers to ensure proper understanding and correct use of products or applications.
Collaboration with internal teams : Collaborating with various internal teams, such as R&D, marketing, and QA. The goal is to provide valuable feedback and input, contribute to product improvement initiatives, and ensure seamless integration with other company offerings.
CRM : Managing the Customer Relationship Management system, ensuring that the customer information and sales data are accurate and up to date and that opportunities and potential new projects are properly documented and maintained. This includes entering and maintaining customer records, monitoring data integrity, and generating CRM reports to support sales analysis and forecasting.
What profile are we looking for?
Technical background preference on mechanical engineering,
3-5 years of experience in mechanical industry, better in steel making companies
Willing to work in a challenging environment.
Problem solving attitude.
Fluent in English and Portuguese (orally and in writing).
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and eventually SAP.
Willingness to travel within Southeast area of Spain and in Portugal (50% travel at least)
