The Lead Analyst works within the Continental Europe Compensation and Benefits team and supports on the maintenance of GXO’s job architecture, manages incentive plans, undertakes analysis and identifies insights using market data, supports on annual compensation cycle activities, and leads on gender pay gap analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
Partnering with GXO Global and Regional C&B teams on design, delivery and review of compensation and benefits projects and annual activity, including but not limited to the following:
* Supporting the delivery of annual compensation cycle activity, including; data management in compensation planning tool, design and delivery of communication and training for managers on making good decisions and using the system, one to one support for managers where required and communication and processing of outcomes
* Scheme design, administration and communication relating to Corporate, Regional, Local and Sales Incentive Plans
* Benefits management and design, working with our Global Benefits Management partner (currently Mercer) to develop health and risk benefits, develop strategies for tax optimisation, manage renewals and provide data and analysis as required. Also support HR on development and delivery of all non-insured benefits
* Support the maintenance of GXO’s job architecture, partnering with HR professionals and managers on individual or team job evaluation and compensation benchmarking, developing compensation structures that fit Global and Local requirements
* Supporting the implementation of EU Pay Transparency including interpretation of country regulations, partnering with Global C&B on strategy, principles and design and determining and managing country implementation
* Pay gap analysis, partnering with HR and DE&I on action planning and writing narrative for report, and submission of results on official gateway,
* Developing compensation metrics and creating insightful and proactive reports to share with business leaders
* Data management and analysis using applicable compensation and market data tools
* Processing monthly, quarterly and ad hoc bonus pay outs and supporting in the administration of LTIPs
* Participation in annual compensation surveys
* Supporting on ad hoc compensation analysis and activity in respect of new business wins and acquisitions, e.g. off cycle pay/bonus reviews and bonus consolidation proposals
* Review and revise local compensation policies, ensuring consistency across all geographies and alignment with the company's growth strategy
Skills & Experience Required:
* Strong verbal and written English language skills, additional European languages are a plus
* Knowledge and understanding of compensation and benefit practices across multiple European countries.
* Excellent communication skills including the ability to create engaging and visual presentations of data insights
* Can confidently speak about compensation concepts, systems and data – both individually and in groups
* A keen attention to detail with the ability to work at pace whilst also maintaining accuracy
* Intermediate to advanced Excel skills - particularly vlookups/manipulation of large data sets
* Numerical ability
* Strong time/project management skills – can plan work activity over a span of months to ensure annual activities and projects remain on track, can organise workload to progress on multiple workstreams simultaneously, can manage conflicting priorities
* Organisation skills – particularly with data sets
* Experience of using salary surveys e.g. Willis Towers Watson, Radford, etc.
* Experience of job matching / job evaluation techniques
* The ability to work in accordance to GDPR and maintain high levels of confidentiality at all times
* Experience in using compensation planning software and using market data tools

Qualifications Required
* Degree qualified or equivalent qualification or professional experience
* 5+ years experience in Compensation & Benefits roles
* Demonstrable evidence of continuous professional development
