Founded in 2003, our client is a European software publisher serving various sectors, primarily the retail, real estate, healthcare, construction, and agrifood sectors, offering essential business solutions. It generates over €300 million in sales and employs more than 2,000 people.
One of its units provides global SaaS solutions for brands and retailers, generating over €100 million annually with a team of 600+ professionals. For that business unit, they are looking for a Head of Quality Assurance.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
* Define and execute QA strategy aligned with business goals.
* Currently, each product line has its own QA team, but the goal is to unify the QA function.
* Create a centralized QA department to ensure quality standards across all products.
* Promote best practices across the organization and with external stakeholders.
* Lead and mentor a high-performing QA team.
* Improve QA processes, tools, and methodologies.
* Oversee all testing activities and ensure quality objectives are met.
* Manage risk and ensure compliance with industry standards.
* Professionalize the QA function, ensuring developers are not directly responsible for testing.
Position Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (Master's preferred).
* 15+ years in software QA, with 10+ years in leadership.
* Strong technical knowledge and leadership skills to implement best practices.
* Knowledge of test automation, continuous integration, performance and cloud technologies.
* Proven experience in QA within SaaS environments.
* Strong knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and DevOps practices.
* Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
* Understanding of QA methodologies and industry best practices.
* Knowledge of security standards.
* Leadership skills to standardize processes and ensure quality across the company.
* Fluency in English (French is a plus, as some teams only speak French).
