To support this key strategic growth area, IoT requires a highly capable and experienced Domain Architect to join the IoT Architecture Team leading the OSS domain.
Role Purpose:
1. Lead the definition and drive the execution of the technology strategy and roadmap for the IoT OSS domain.
2. Deliver innovative and pragmatic Enterprise and Capability Architectures in line with business needs.
3. Provide technical expert contribution to the technology selection process where new architecture building blocks are required.
4. Define architecture patterns and principles relevant to the OSS domain, to enable auto approval of designs following pre-approved approaches.
5. Participate in the design and execution of Architectural Governance across the relevant stakeholders.
6. Support the early life definition and impact assessment of Programmes and Projects including shaping and scope definition.
Key accountabilities and decision ownership:
1. Capability architecture definition for the OSS domain.
2. Technology selection for the OSS components.
3. Design approvals for designs impacting OSS.
4. Maintaining architecture repository with OSS related information.
5. Patterns and principles relating to the domain.
Core competencies, knowledge and experience:
1. Experience in designing complex, distributed, secure and scalable architecture solutions within complex organisations, preferably in the B2B market.
2. Strong knowledge of architecture best practices and design patterns.
3. 5 years + experience architecting OSS systems including monitoring, logging, alerting, diagnosis, ticketing and SLA management capabilities.
4. Defining cloud-based architectures (AWS and OCI desirable).
5. Managing massive data sets and environments requiring a high degree of elasticity.
6. Working within a large multi-national organisation, preferably in the B2B market and/or telecoms industry.
7. Production of blueprints, roadmaps and other Enterprise Architecture documentation.
8. Working with operational and engineering teams to define supportable solutions.
9. Proven experience of conducting technical workshops, presenting technical solutions, preparing architecture guidelines and technical strategy documents.
10. Familiar with Enterprise Architecture frameworks (TOGAF, TM Forum, etc) and capable of suggesting new tools/process.
11. Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
