Job Purpose
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer Commercial Excellence EMEA to drive the commercial excellence initiatives related to dashboards and reports within Region EMEA with a constant customer focus. The position holder owns the Region EMEA dashboards and implements reports that are straightforward to comprehend and build the reporting for daily/weekly regional and country-based lead team meetings, deep dives, and business updates.
The Senior Data Engineer Commercial Excellence EMEA (f/m/d) will be supporting the local subsidiaries with the implementation of globally aligned dashboards and reports. The successful candidate will consult and support countries in data and analytics topics and facilitates the exchange and best practice sharing among countries within the region, as well as with other regions. Will also be responsible for leading and nurturing the existing commercial excellence community focused on business intelligence across EMEA and creating platforms to foster exchange, working in close contact with the global commercial excellence and global insights teams for the assigned tasks and responsibilities.
The ideal candidate is an expert in BI tools, EQL/SQL, and advanced analytics while also demonstrating leadership capabilities to guide the team and shape the data strategy. This role will be instrumental in designing, optimizing, and automating dashboards, ensuring data integrity, and providing actionable insights to key commercial excellence stakeholders.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
* Collaborate with key commercial stakeholders and cross-functional teams to translate business objectives into data-driven solutions by designing and developing scalable, efficient, and visually compelling dashboards using tools such as Power BI, Einstein Analytics for use in commercial operating mechanisms (e.g. between sales managers and reps) that drive real measurable change in the field.
* Build and automate reporting workflows and integrate multiple data sources to enhance efficiency.
* Build analytics explicitly for the field force that increase their engagement on Commercial Excellence tools, deliver insights intuitively to empower them to make decisions and optimize their time.
* Educate and cross-pollenate region and country Commercial Excellence team members on analytics and automation best practices to drive alignment.
* Stay ahead of industry trends and introduce innovative approaches to data analysis and visualization.
* Ensure that all data insights align with business objectives and enhance customer experience.
Requirements needed
Education
* University degree in computer science or quantitative field or related domain.
Experience:
* 5+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or related fields.
* 5+ years of commercial experience in a multi-country, multi-language, multi-currency region.
* 5+ years of experience working with CRM applications such as Salesforce.com or SAP.
* 3+ years of experience designing, building and deploying dynamic commercial dashboards and reports with Salesforce CRM analytics (aka Einstein Analytics or Wave).
* 3+ years of experience building and managing scalable data processing and interfacing technology (preferably with Alteryx).
* Expert proficiency in SQL, with a deep understanding of data structures, query optimization, and database management.
* Advanced experience with BI tools (Power BI or similar).
* Experience in data modeling, ETL processes, and automation.
* Ability to communicate complex data findings to non-technical audiences in a clear and actionable manner.
* Customer-focused approach, ensuring insights and dashboards drive business value and user satisfaction.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience in cloud-based data solutions (AWS, GCP, Azure, Snowflake, etc.).
* Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance best practices.
* 5+ years of medical device commercial experience.
