Pre-doctoral FPI contract within the R&D&I Plan of the University of Castilla-La Mancha (UCLM) for a period of four years. The candidate will be a member of the Department of Applied Physics at the Toledo campus (Fábrica de Armas).
Role Description
The thesis topic focuses on the theoretical and experimental study of the transport properties of strained advanced quantum materials. The systems will be analyzed using advanced computational techniques and first-principles-based models. In some materials, these properties may be verified through experimental techniques. There is also the possibility of undertaking research stays at international centers and collaborating in teaching within the new Bachelor's Degree in Physics.

* Ability to work independently and collaboratively
* Previous academic publication experience is a plus
* Knowledge of the subject area of study
* Master's degree in a relevant field
* Fluency in English
