We are currently compiling a pool of qualified professionals interested in the role of (Interim) Proofreader/Editor to potentially support Frontex, an EU Institution based in Poland and a prospective client of NTU. About the Position:
An esteemed EU institution is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Proofreader/Editor to provide temporary support in the editing, proofreading, and quality assurance of various written materials. The selected candidate will ensure consistency, accuracy, and alignment with institutional style and tone in a dynamic, multicultural environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform linguistic checks of documents and texts, identifying and correcting spelling, punctuation, and typographical errors.
• Ensure alignment with Frontex style conventions and terminology.
• Edit documents to enhance clarity, coherence, and overall readability.
• Review materials for compliance with Frontex Corporate Visual Identity guidelines.
• Assist in drafting a range of content, including communication materials, web content, briefing notes, reports, and guidelines.
• Integrate edits and inputs from multiple contributors into cohesive and final versions.
Requirements:
• Proven experience in proofreading, editing, or content writing—preferably for EU institutions or international organizations.
• Exceptional command of written English, with knowledge of regional variations.
• Familiarity with editorial standards, institutional style guides, and terminology management.
• Strong attention to detail and consistency in reviewing and editing materials.
• Ability to synthesize multiple inputs and manage multi-author documents.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Knowledge of EU procedures and working languages (English required, other EU languages are an asset).
