Business Development Manager (Recreational Boating Sector)
IME Talent is looking for a BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER for our client in the recreational boating sector.
Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Manager to lead our company into the next phase of growth and innovation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the marine industry, experience in scaling a manufacturing business, and a passion for sustainable technologies. The Business Development Manager will oversee all aspects of business development, operations, marketing, and financial performance while driving the company’s vision of creating zero-emission boats.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive business strategy aligned with the company’s vision, including market expansion, product development, and innovation.
2. Operations Management: Oversee daily operations, ensure production efficiency, and maintain quality standards in line with the company’s sustainability goals.
3. Sales & Marketing: Lead the marketing and sales strategy to increase brand visibility, customer engagement, and market share in the eco-friendly boat industry.
4. Financial Oversight: Manage financial planning, budgeting, and reporting to ensure profitability and long-term growth. Develop financial models to support investment strategies and operations.
5. Product Development: Collaborate with engineering and design teams to innovate and enhance our range of hydrogen-powered boats, ensuring they meet industry standards and customer expectations.
6. Business Development: Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and markets. Cultivate relationships with stakeholders, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
7. Team Leadership: Build and mentor a high-performing team, fostering a culture of innovation, sustainability, and operational excellence.
Qualifications:
1. Proven experience (10+ years) in a senior management role, preferably in the marine industry or related sectors.
2. Strong background in sustainable technologies, clean energy solutions, or manufacturing industries.
3. Excellent understanding of business functions (sales, marketing, operations, and finance).
4. Demonstrated experience in scaling a business, leading teams, and managing operational growth.
5. Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets, forecasts, and business models.
6. Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
7. Passionate about sustainability, innovation, and future technologies.
Preferred:
1. Experience in the hydrogen or alternative energy sector.
2. Knowledge of boat design, marine regulations, and industry trends.
3. Background in international business development and supply chain management.
