GRANSOLAR CONSTRUCCIÓN DE PROYECTOS (‘GRS’) is a division of the Gransolar Group (the ‘Group’) which is primarily engaged in the turnkey construction (EPC) of solar photovoltaic plants and storage solutions worldwide, and the operation and maintenance of such plants. It is primarily active abroad and is currently in the process of expansion.
We are currently looking for a Head of Procurement & Logistics based in Spain who is willing to relocate to our offices in Australia .
Mission:
Achieve savings in the company's purchases for construction projects and close framework agreements with various manufacturers of products to be used in some of these projects.
Manage the company's logistics operations to ensure operational excellence. Plan and make strategic logistics decisions for the company.
Lead and develop the work team.
Main functions:
* Ensuring coordination of all the disciplines and subcontractors on site.
* Coordinating with the Construction Manager and Superintendents regarding resources on site.
* Coordinating with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure the proper delivery of materials on site (time and quality).
* Keeping the Project Team informed about the deliveries to site and arranging correct delivery and unloading at site using unloading options that are immediately available.
* Supervising and coordinating with customs agent, freight forwarders, customs authority and client to arrange material release and to avoid any delays or extra expenses.
* Supervising the invoices and cost control.
* Identifying and communicating any kind of incident that could mean a potential delay to the Project Director and possible actions to mitigate its consequences.
* Supervising the performance of the site store keeper.
* Arranging damages reports and submissions to the insurance company.
* Meeting all project KPI’s.
* In conjunction with the Construction Manager, monitoring and ensuring the supply of materials are maintained to meet project requirements and any materials lost in damages are replaced;
and
* Coordinating with H&S Manager to ensure the facilities for the staff and labourers are appropriate as per law and planning.
Requirements:
* Degree in Logistics or Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or similar.
* 3 to 5 years' experience in a similar position.
* Advanced level of English
* Office package, SAP.
* Knowledge of international logistics, market, suppliers and main equipment.
* Availability to travel nationally and internationally.
