Job Title: Area/Shift Manager
The Area/Shift Manager role at Amazon provides an opportunity to gain experience leading a large and diverse team, ensuring the area of business keeps pace with demand.
This hands-on position involves learning about the complexity of operations at a global business and implementing strategies to drive productivity while addressing challenges in collaboration with colleagues.
Main Responsibilities:
* Promote a culture of safety and wellbeing
* Analyse and implement corrective actions to ensure quality and productivity are consistently high, and business objectives are met across all shifts
* Support and lead a team, handling administrative work alongside building and supporting a strong team culture
* Analyse performance and suggest process improvements to optimise work and improve customer service
* Collaborate with other managers to standardise shift processes
A Day in the Life:
The Area/Shift Manager works shifts and is based at one of our operational sites. The main focus is on maintaining safety standards within the team and across the site, as well as monitoring and maintaining process efficiency.
Key responsibilities include prioritising routine team management and daily operational tasks, alongside individual escalations, process improvement work, and wide-scale operational contingency planning.
Working closely with colleagues in other teams and external partners is essential to meet customer demands and targets.
Basic Qualifications:
* Currently pursuing a university degree (Bachelor's or Master's degree)
* Advanced proficiency in written and verbal English and local language
* Relevant experience in data analysis
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience communicating with various stakeholders, including peers and leadership
* Logistical working environment experience
* Experience working with the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) in a professional environment
